In today’s world, we are swiftly moving towards an app-based life. It isn’t surprising that astrology would make it’s way to the mobile dating space with a newly-launched app Align. The well-designed, spiritual and cosmic content-driven app was created and launched in LA earlier this year.
In this interview, Kara Dake connects with Align Co-Founders Aliza Kelly Faragher and Helen Grossman, who discuss their experience in developing and launching the first and only relevant astrology dating app targeting millennials. Helen & Aliza started Align because they were frustrated with the lack of personalization in existing mobile dating apps, and also wanted more interesting educational astrology content than what’s currently available online.
Since the app’s beta launch earlier this year, the company has employed some strategies including a strong PR launch, “daily constellation” dating matches, and mobile engagement campaigns incorporating the astrological seasons. Content is one of Align’s strongest brand awareness drivers as there is always more information to learn about your sign, your dates’ signs, and your compatibility. The company looks to present this information in a digestible, visually-appealing way while maintaining a strong brand voice that appeals to their millennial demographic.
