2020 has been a year to remember for many reasons. As we look forward to 2021, we want to take the opportunity to share some highlights from the past year as a reminder of how much we have grown together. We are continually improving and evolving in order to give our customers the best possible experience. 
In 2020, we focused on optimizing the way in which you connect with your customers. We gave our entire platform a fresh, new look. We hope you love our sleek new design and find our features easier to access and use.
 
This was a year of platform innovation. 
We made significant advancements in data science and machine learning, allowing you to automate far beyond anything in the market. 

  • With Lifecycle Optimizer, better understand your entire user base in the context of defined lifecycle stages. Create optimized campaigns that are proven to move customers to the next stage. 
  • Create ready-to-send Bulletins that can be automatically dispatched when a business event occurs, such as a new product release or restocked item. 
  • Set up personalized messages using event property values matched across events with Constant Property Campaigns.
  • Write emotionally persuasive content that resonates and engages your audience with our new Emotion Editor, available free on our website.
  • Advanced role-based access control provides admins the ability to set custom roles that limit data access for different users.

We updated Journeys in a BIG way. 
This past year, we were obsessed with improving journeys. 

  • Journey summary reports can now be sent directly to your inbox with information like number of users in the journey, converted users, and more.
  • Configure Do Not Disturb hours for all nodes of the journey.
  • Deliver messages based on a user’s time zone
  • The best time to deliver feature is now available in Journeys. Use this to send a message when a customer is most likely to be active. 
  • Archive a journey to easily manage multiple journeys. 

You spoke, we listened. 
Based on feedback from our customers, we implemented multiple features to help you create more relevant campaigns and build stronger relationships with your customers. 

  • Customize Do Not Disturb hours across time zones for every type of notification. 
  • Include or exclude one or multiple groups of users from a segment. 
  • Run location-based campaigns when a user is in proximity to a physical location with geofencing
  • We refreshed our WhatsApp Add-on so you can quickly resolve customer queries and reduce response time by sending automated replies to common questions. 
  • Reach even more users by amplifying the reach of push notifications. We added push support for Xiaomi, Huawei, and Baidu Push. 

 
You wanted more campaign personalization, we answered.
Fine-tune your messaging so that your campaigns are the most effective, every time. 

  • Use Liquid Tags to personalize your messages based on user properties or in-app behaviors with conditional logic like if-else statements. 
  • Pull data from third-party sources via an API to dynamically add current information at the time a message is sent with the Linked Content feature. 
  • You can now bring a list of users from any source, including third-party tools or internal databases, into the CleverTap platform with Custom List Segmentation
  • Personalize messages with external data pulled from an uploaded catalog at the time a campaign is sent with Catalog Send-Time Personalization.

  • We revamped our Product A/B Testing so you can easily test ideas on controlled segments to remove the guesswork and provide actionable data to improve the app experience.
