Triggered Campaigns Glossary

July 9, 2018

CleverTap’s Scheduled & Triggered Campaigns allow you to send messages to users based on specific actions that they take within your app (Triggered), or you can have marketing campaigns set to run at an appointed time (Scheduled).

Why Use Triggered Campaigns?

Using Triggered Campaigns allows you to create a series of messages or promotions that will go out, not at specified times like in Scheduled Campaigns, but as soon as a user performs a specific action. These are highly personalized and contextual notifications that you create beforehand and which are sent to a user instantaneously after performing an action.

For example: you could send a push notification immediately after a user “likes” a product in your catalog. This message could contain a discount or promotion to get the user to convert and purchase the product that he just liked.
