Living My Life in Organized Chaos, by Anirban Bose

Born and brought up in Delhi, in a loving joint family, Anirban Bose, works as a Video Production Manager, handling all the video content creation across departments. In this blog, he talks about his love for content, how staying organized and having a sense of structure are important in his life, and his amazing experience working with CleverTap.

How It All Began

Being born in a Bengali family, everyone in my family is creative, and that’s probably where my own creativity came from. My aunts are into music, and my father graduated in fine arts from the Delhi School of Arts and used to create set art for movies. Growing up, films fascinated me, especially the cinematics — the visual aesthetics of  films — and so I developed a keen interest in exploring film-making. I remember being awestruck by the cinematics the first time I watched Jurassic Park, and I came to idolize Steven Spielberg. While in school, for a project, we were told to make a film, and that’s when I began dreaming of it. I loved the process and the experience of seeing it through to completion. However, I was also looking at architecture as a career option at that time.

After completing my postgraduate degree in film-making, my first job was an editor for an agency. Eventually I was promoted to producer. I am truly passionate about content generation, especially visual content and video.

While I was working towards my goal of becoming a producer and creating videos and content, I had to return home due to a family commitment, following which I joined a tech company. Post Covid, I resigned and began freelancing. After about 8 months, I took up a job in a company where I was creating content. As long as I am creating content, it doesn’t matter whether it’s a feature film or small videos, I just love generating it.

Film-making vs. Corporate Content

I naturally tend to be a very structured and organized person. I don’t do well with too much chaos. Even if I have to plan a trip or outing with friends and family, I do it way in advance. I like being well prepared, regardless of the situation. Even if it’s planning my weekend, I don’t really like impromptu plans.

But film-making is not very structured. When you’re shooting a film, it’s always complete chaos, especially feature films or advertising. It’s just fundamentally very chaotic, regardless of how well you’ve tried to plan everything out in advance. It’s one reason that I especially like digital or social media content because it’s something I can control and plan ahead for. Even though this content is consumed quickly, I like the fact that it tends to be easier to plan and less chaotic.

Working at CleverTap

At CleverTap, I create all the video content that is requested from all the different teams. I also manage the Design team. After working for different companies, my experience working with CleverTap so far has been very enriching. The transparency amongst people, the communication, and the rapport I have with the senior leadership is amazing. That makes working a lot more fun.

Secondly, the work culture at CleverTap is amazing. Work feels like one big family with people checking on you, opportunities to showcase your skills and  manage a team — and there are some amazing growth opportunities. People here are amazing and so accommodating, and I look forward to coming to work everyday. I truly believe, “When you organize your life around your dreams, you can sit back and watch them come true sooner.”
