Events are the actions users perform in your app – like Viewing a Product, Listening to Song, Sharing a Photo, Making a Purchase or Favoriting an Item.
Events are people-centric. Unlike traditional Page-Views, which simply track pages clicked on, Events track what activities a user is performing giving you deep insights into user behavior.
Events can have attributes, or properties which act as meta-data for the Event. If you’re tracking a transactional Event such as “Added to Cart” it can contain properties such as “Product Name, Product Category, Product Amount, etc.
When users perform “Added to Cart” you’ll see all the associated properties with that activity – such as which item they added and how and what was the price.
