Mobile User Engagement in Vietnam, and focus areas for 2021

When lockdowns were enforced in Vietnam, usage of mobile apps skyrocketed across all types of business – FoodTech, Edutech, Fintech, Entertainment and others! During this crisis, all essential communication also moved to the app. With people’s mobility restricted, apps helped the citizens manage their day to day tasks with ease.

The increased usage in mobile engagement is here to stay. According to a report by AppAnnie, overall visits to shopping apps in Vietnam grew by 43 percent growth quarter-on-quarter, the highest across all South East Asian countries. Covid has pushed users towards adopting new shopping habits, and this is not a temporary phenomenon.
